I met Hanafi around 8 years ago.He helped to sponsor a 3 tonne lorry to transport groceries for 150 orang asli families in Grik. Our friendship has been online till we recently joint venture (Volunteers Unite x 4wd Charity Community) for East Coast relief effort for the poor and the needy who are impacted due to flood.
Hanifi is a person who believes in helping people and he will do what it takes to ensure the mission is accomplish. He leads the troop with strong leadership and his concious is clear. He dont jump into media frenzies and publicity. For example, when the flood happen at East Coast, many NGO rush into villages and extend help and humanitarian aid. Some villages will be overwhelm with goods while some are still staying in the dark.Simply because the media dont focuses on them and that is where you will see him and his 4wd team. Not just good supplies,he will extend help to clean the dirt from the flood and usher the villages back to their home and making it liveable again. That sums it up a bit about him and since 23 Jan 2021 till 2nd May 2021,we have completed 6 missions to help minimum 1500 families.
Everything went well until 4th May 2021,he met into an accident and fractured his ribs. His main income stream which is his goods delivery service is now stalled. His 4wd drive is totalled and he is still in hospital recovering and hopefully he can be discharge by this coming weekend.
Today 8th May 2021 is his birthday and he is still in the hospital and I was thinking other than his recovery, I hope we can come together to ease his financial burden by getting him a second hand 4wd drive which around RM65k.
I know the amount may seems big but no amount can justify the good work that he had sown. It is time for us to help him even though he didnt ask anything from us. This message is written by me Alfred Samuel Mariyaras.
