THE PROBLEM

✨ABOUT SPEAK UP PROJECT

Speak Up is a project founded by AIESEC in Malaysia that aims to empower Malaysian students by developing their English-speaking ability and enhancing their knowledge and skills in STEM through a cross-cultural learning environment.

 

Our mission is to provide a platform and unique learning space for youths to develop themselves in a cross-cultural environment allowing youths to be built with confidence to speak to the world gaining personal development and helping them to gain technical skills that can assist their future employment.

 

 

THE SOLUTION

🙌SPEAK UP PROJECT X SMK HULU KELANG

SMK Hulu Kelang is a national school located in Jalan Hulu Kelang that consists of 361 students in total (data from 2021). After several meetings with the school side, Speak Up team realizes the importance of making STEM education accessible and FUN to attract the attention of the students.

The students who attend the Science stream in Form 4 and Form 5 are 10 students and 8 students respectively.

However, SMK Hulu Kelang which is a small school that only consists of 361 students is lacking funds to provide STEM Kits as learning materials in order for students to gain interest in learning STEM.

 

THE IMPACT

Hence, AIESEC in the University of Malaya will be raising this fund and contributing to SMK Hulu Kelang by using the fund in buying the STEM Kits and donating to the school.
