Saving the Marine Babies :)

The Story

Hi there! I'm Cindy, currently a third year Food Science student studying in UMS, Sabah; Yes! The state with beautiful beaches everywhere :) FYI I'm also the current President of AIESEC in UMS, the organisation that runs for this Marine Conservation Project - Nature Warrior 5.0.  

      I would like to fundraise for this project as I have witnessed the impacts made in the past years to the community as well as to the marine life directly. Nature Warrior is a project designed to mitigate destruction done while conserving the marine life and resources in the beaches and oceans of Sabah aligned with Sustainable Development Goal #14 of Life Below Water.  

      Unfortunately, it is still considered a norm or common practice for Malaysians to litter around, which caused trashes to be found everywhere - the streets, drains, rivers & our beautiful ocean. Do you know that the plastic bags we use in our everyday life take 10-20 years to decompose, while plastic bottles take 450 years to decompose - causing pollutions to the ocean, affecting the ecosystems and sea creatures will mistakenly consume these as foods. This is the main reason of us initiating Nature Warrior Project - be it raising awareness  among the community or helping the marine life directly.
