The Story

Hello I'm Cheah Clement currently a year 2 student in University Malaysia Sabah(UMS) studying in Food Science & Nutrition. A Sabahan who so happen to an AIESECer last winter 2019 who happens to be an Ocean Advocate that wishes to protect the seas surrounding Malaysia and also would like to encourage more youth to give a helping hand in protecting our marine life.

So our Campaign, Nature Warrior 5.0, aligning with UN's Sustainable Development Goal 14- Life Below Water, is a project designed to raise awareness to the local community the importance to preserve the ocean and the life below water as well as to sustain the biodiversity of marine life while helping some species such as turtles to be able to thrive and reproduce even with the unfavourable condition and environment.

In the recent years, climate change has been a growing concern of the public. The irony of the trash we throw irresponsiblly finds its way back to us by ending up to be accumulating at the beaches and seas. Not only becoming unsightly but it also cause a disturbance in the aquatic ecosystem resulting in poor water quality and increase of toxicity to our seafoods.

Therefore, I urge everyone to take part of this movement to not only donate or share this campaign but also take actionable measure to start making changes by acting sustainably for a better future.

Be the a part of the solution, not polution. We are all passengers of planet Earth so its up to us to take care of Mother Nature. Be accountable to our planet Earth and our surrounding. The greatest threat to our planet is the belief of someone else will save it, so be the change you want to see.
