The Story

Hello, Andrea here from AIESEC in CU! 

Since March this year, I am able to virtually interact more with many talented and experienced AIESECers from different universities all around Malaysia. Seeing them being empowered to make a meaningful impact in our community through volunteering projects based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), inspired me to be one of them as well. Thus, I'm proud to start this fundraiser campaign for Speak Up Borneo in my hometown here in Miri, Sarawak!

ACU SPEAK UP BORNEO 8.0 

We focus on the problems of :
1) Student's low English proficiency level due to the quality of national English language education,
2) Students' subpar performance in applying science and mathematics knowledge
3) Gap in education quality between states and within states across Malaysia

OBJECTIVE

Through our project based on SDG 4.4 Quality Education, we want to reduce the education quality gap between privileged and unprivileged children. We are also determined to inspire and promote interests of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) among the youths!

In overall, this project aim to create a unique learning space for students to gain personal development and technology literacy.

GOAL BREAKDOWN

The funds willl be contributed towards:

1) Project Cost [Laptop for the students]

2) Administration Fee [Human Resource]

3) Operation fee [Marketing materials and project materials], Transportation and Facilitator Fee.

Every single contribution matters and brings a brighter future for the youth's education in East Malaysia!
