A little facts about me & Get Fit Get Inclusive

Hi ! It's Chuan Chin or Joshua here. I am always intrigued by how can people contribute towards the special needs community while being a student with financial limitations.

Until I heard about being a Virtual Volunteer for Get Fit Get Inclusive volunteering initiative by AIESEC in Sunway.

What do you have in mind?

What do you think when you heard of Special Needs Children? Hmm...They are hard to understand and deal with? They are different group of people? NO !! They are just like us, but require a little bit more of our patience, our guidance and our love in order to understand them.

So please support the community as every little effort means a world to the special needs children and to the youth like us, trying to contribuite to the society.

Our Aim

• Raise awareness within our community on the current challenges faced by children with disabilities,
• Generate funds through the selling of merchandise to support the IMC Training Centre for Special Needs and AIESEC’s Get Fit Get Inclusive volunteering initiative.

More about IMC Training Centre for Special Needs

• A non-government funded centre which aimed to develop special needs children’s motor, sensing, and thinking skills to better prepare them for life in mainstream society,
• Prepare Special Children to assimilate into mainstream society and instil in them good moral attitudes and a replenished sense of self-worth through personalised learning.

How can you show your support ?

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone is affected and IMC is not excluded. They have an IMC Restaurant which run by the special needs children in hope to let them serve, experience working while learning and also fund for IMC. Both the training centre and restaurant are now facing challanges because of the crisis.

So you can show your support by either: -

1. Donations (any amount is appreciated)

* Prices are inclusive of NGOHub's 6.5% tax however please consider donating an additional RM5-10 to cover your shipping costs - this is to ensure that the full price of the merchandise can be donated to our beneficiary!

COST BREAKDOWN

• Majority of the proceeds earned through this fundraising campaign will go into supporting IMC in continuing their operations
• The remaining sum will be applied by AIESEC to continue supporting and sustaining our future projects such as the Get Fit Get Inclusive (GFGI) initiative..
• The merchandise prices offered cover both the cost of production and NGOHub's 6.5% tax, however, it does not cover cost of shipping.

The impact

• Raise funds to support IMC in continuing to provide a safe and secure environment for Special Children to develop their lifestyle skills,
• Raise funds to support IMC in potentially constructing a new centre to support more Special Needs children,
• Raise funds to execute AIESEC’s Get Fit Get Inclusive initiative (GFGI) which, in alignment with SDG Goal #10: Reduced Inequalities, aims to assist Special Children in Malaysia by conducting activities that would support the development of their mental and social skills – in the hopes of supporting the overall Special Needs community.
