I am Soh Hui Shin, an undergraduate student from University of Malaya. I am also a volunteer for Clean Our Plate of AIESEC in UM. Thus, I am here to create public awareness on food waste issue and raise fund for the needy.
Did you know? Malaysians waste about 16,688 tonnes of food per day, which is an amount that can easily feed around 2.2 million people, three times a day! By the year 2020 the total amount of food waste in Malaysia can fill up 16 KLCC tower, which is 451.9 metres tall!
Why the people waste food when the world is dying from hunger???
This is a crowdfunding campaign which Clean Our Plate AIESEC in University of Malaya will collaborate with Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia. The objective is to raise fund which can be used to purchase around 460kg of food donation items for the underprivileged community. Now, let us spread the love and Feed the Hungry!
