Leave No Hunger Behind

The Story

Hello everyone,

I am Angeline Ang from Sunway College. I have decided to take part in the Clean Our Plate 6.0 project on behalf of AIESEC in Sunway as a virtual volunteer to help out people in need and play a part in making the community a better place.

PROBLEM

As the pandemic is getting worse, the unemployment rate and pay cuts are soaring high everywhere, including Malaysia.

The pandemic caused food prices to increase by 1.4% in 2020, further burdening low-income households and create food insecurity.

It is very heartbreaking to see that low-income households are forced to skip meals and adopt unhealthy diets just to survive, causing many children to suffer from malnutrition and other health issues at such a young age due to inappropriate diet.

SOLUTION & IMPACT

Donate at least RM10 to Clean Our Plate Malaysia, and Clean Our Plate Malaysia will donate groceries and necessities to soup kitchens and food banks in KL areas to provide underprivileged people with warm and healthy meals!

Your kind act will end their starvation and bring back the smiles and joy of every underprivileged people in the community ❤
