Make Food, Not Waste !!

The Story

Hi everyone! My name is Caressa, and I'm a student currently studying in Sunway College. I am also a Virtual Volunteer for "Clean Our Plate" campaign by AIESEC of Sunway University. I started college not too long ago and life's been pretty hectic. Definitely nothing like highschool. I'm sure some of you can relate to how tough college's been especially during these trying times. Given the fact that everything is online, and going out to see your friends is not an option. Though times are hard, but somehow or rather, you find ways to make life a little easier and a little bit more meaningful.

Throughout my entire time at home, I was fortunate enough to have food on the table and a roof over my head but some people do not have the same kind of reality. Some, wake up unsure about whether they have enough food to provide for their family or some, go to sleep not knowing if they are able to wake up tomorrow, safe and secure. I've been taught since young to never leave a single grain of rice on my plate, to be grateful for what I have and it pains me to know that 25,000 people are dying of hunger each day.

Without thinking twice, I've decided to be that voice for those who do not have the power to speak on their own. This campaign will not only help those who are in need but to also voice out the topic on food wastage that is disregarded nowadays. We, Malaysians are still unaware of how much food we waste throughout our lifetime. 

Although I am one of thousands of initatives, I believe that big waves start with small ripples. Hence, I sincerely hope that my "Make Food, Not Waste" campaign can inspire other people to take this leap in changing the lives of countless Malaysians and develop a future generation of people who are as passionate as I am in this initiative. However, I as an individual cannot do this alone, it takes YOU to make this diifference, to make this Malaysian dream come true. No matter how small your contribution is, know that sedikit-sedikit, lama-lama menjadi bukit, because I truly believe that MALAYSIA BOLEH.
