The Story

Hi, I am Harjit. I have been searching for a project to work on involving volunteerism and community development. I could not find any. Then, I found SOLS 24/7, an NGO with a cause to help the Orang Asli Community providing them with the mere basic necessity, LIGHT. This resonates well with the theme that I was looking for. i.e to help the Orang Asli Community to light up their homes using a simple and clean method. This 3-month project is to install a PICO Solar System that contains 3 lights, battery, charging kit with phone adapter that cost RM650 per set. To enable this, we need your support for a contribution towards this cause. There are approximately 2500 Orang Asli families in Peninsular Malaysia that has been identified having no electricity or basic amenities.
