The Story

Hi! :D I am Ka Yuen a Local Virtual Volunteer (LVV) from the project 'Action for Equality' (AFE) by AIESEC in Sunway. I am fundraising this campaign to raise awareness of challenges related to gender equality in Malaysia as we may be DIFFERENT in genders, but we have EQUAL rights.

In support of Action for Equality, we are raising funds for All Women’s Action Society (AWAM). AWAM is a non-profit organization that focuses on eradicating gender based violence (GBV) by assisting GBV survivors, providing information on GBV and providing free counselling and legal information to the public.

THE IMPACT

Through this campaign, we hope to:

• Encourage and empower youths to actively advocate for better gender equality,
• Support AWAM in progressing our country’s laws and policies,
• Raise funds to support AWAM's and AIESEC's SDG5 (Gender Equality) initiatives.
