The Story

Greetings, so happy to have you visiting our fundraising page! A little introduction of our team is that we are a group of 9 pharmacy students from National University of Malaysia (UKM), currently collaborating with SERUM Initiative to raise funds for Battle Against Covid-19. We hope to encourage people, especially the youth to spread the love and make a change in helping the underserved communities.

The reason we want to fundraise for this campaign is we want to help the urban poor and refugees who are not accessible for the face mask and hand sanitizer. There are many obstacles for them to have a face mask and also hand sanitizer such as financial barriers because as you can see the price in the market not only for hand sanitizer but also the other basic necessities are getting higher. As wearing face masks and hand sanitizer become the new norm in our daily life to stop the spread of Covid-19, we are here to help them to reduce their burden to buy the face mask and hand sanitizer. We as the youth representation are willing to make a collective impact to fight against Covid-19.

In this COVID-19 pandemic, the underserved communities are not able to have access to hand sanitisers and face masks. The lack of access to supplies put them at risk of exposure to the dangerous virus. With this fundraising from home program, we feel very fortunate to have the chance to help those in need using online platforms. We hope that we can bring impact to the society by contributing our efforts in this Battle Against COVID-19.

Helping and supporting this campaign can increase awareness and responsibility to avoid and stop the spread of COVID-19 to break the infection chain in Malaysia. Besides, it can become a reward and make you feel more grateful by helping and supporting this campaign because we will feel happier and more grateful after helping other people and contributing something to the communities. When you start to help in this fundraising campaign, it can encourage and inspire other people to do the same thing. Therefore, together we can help those in need. 

Every RM10 donation will be divided to: RM5 is to provide 50ml hand sanitiser, another RM5 for a reusable face mask. Therefore, each RM10 donation contributes to 2 things that are necessary nowadays.
