Better education equals a better nation

The Story

Hi, I'm Lee Jie Shi, an undergraduate student studying Statistical Computing and Operations Research at UTAR, Kampar.

I'm the Malaysian Youth Volunteer for the project Speak Up 9.0, which aims to deliver quality education to the B40 community focusing on STEAM education. In this fundraising, our goal is to provide 40 beneficiaries from B40 community students with soap kits to facilitate STEAM learning. 

I'm always passionate about dedicating myself to SDG Goals as every chance of participation widens my eye view and makes me aware of my identity as a world citizen. I could see people lacking access and resources for education where they don't even have the chance to receive a proper education. There are lots of living examples that we all witness from all over the world, I decided to take the first step to help the students here in my own country. And here in this Speak Up 9.0 project, we as volunteers provide a unique learning space for students to gain personal development and help them to gain technical skills that can help with their future employment.

I'm proud of myself for taking the initiative to volunteer for this project. I strongly believe that every little step is significant in helping us gradually achieve seemingly unachievable goals. With every little hand you gave, we can make this world a better place.

我是Speak Up 9.0项目的马来西亚青年志愿者，该项目旨在为B40社区提供以STEAM教育为主的优质教育。在这次募捐中，我们的目标是为40名来自B40社区的学生提供促进STEAM学习的教育。

我一直热衷于为SDG目标奉献自己的力量。每一次的参与都会拓宽我的视野，让我意识到自己作为世界公民的身份。我可以看到人们缺乏受教育的机会和资源，有些人甚至没有机会接受正规的教育。我们在世界各地都有很多活生生的例子，于是我决定迈出第一步，帮助自己国家的学生。而在这个Speak Up 9.0项目中，我们作为志愿者为学生提供了一个独特的学习空间，让他们获得个人发展，并帮助他们获得有助于未来就业的技术技能。

我为自己能主动成为这个项目的志愿者而感到骄傲。我坚信，在我们逐步实现看似无法实现的目标时，每一个小脚步都意义重大。只要你付出自己的力量，我们就能让这个世界变得更美好。
