The Story

Hello, everyone ! We are Audrey, Anusha, Leo, and Octari from AIESEC in Kedah-Perlis. We are a not-for-profit organization run by students of institutions of higher education.

According to the data in 2018, the world generates at least 3.5 million tons of plastic and other solid waste per day which is 10 times the amount a century ago as the society are lacking the awareness of plastic pollution and the importance of recycling. 

That's why Green Lantern Titans are working on these global issues. Green Lantern Titans is an environmental project created under SDG 12- Responsible Consumption and Production in 2015 where we aim to raise zero waste awareness among youths in the Kedah-Perlis area and substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse by the year 2030.

We wish to help society in raising the awareness of waste pollution and understand that rather than focusing so much energy on limiting the use of plastic shopping bags, we need to increase the recycling of our plastic waste by delivering correct recycling knowledge to the Youth and society. 

A zero-waste lifestyle is about sending nothing to the landfill.
