The Story

UCC is the community that gives students the opportunities to serve their communities through various meaningful connections and volunteering opportunities.Together, they forge new dynamic teams that seek better understanding when they resolve social issues. In the COVID-19 pandemic, UCC volunteers have taken up fundraising for deserving communities and people that have been severely impacted by the virus and the restrictions it has caused.

Today, 250 million children aged between 7 to 12 from poor families can’t read, write or count. Children don’t have the opportunity to receive an education and have no access to schooling. They lost a total of 185 days of school in 2020 and potential of dropout from the education system. And if all students left school with basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty. 

When you make a gift to Untuk Malaysia’s education programs, it will help them to design a system to tap the alternative education system to give 180 students the chance to be free from the poverty cycle.
