THE PROBLEM
- Children age 7-12 years old from poor families who are unable to read, write and count.
- They lost a total of 185 days of school in 2020
- And potential of dropout from the education system
THE SOLUTION
- We provide 90 changemakers with 3 days training under Dr Putri Afzan Maria. They are trained to understand the process of learning to read, write and count.
- 1 changemaker helps 2 poor students with emotional support and teach them to read, write and count within the duration of 10 months. Changemakers and students live within the radius of 10 km (SOP due to pandemic)
By tapping the most vulnerable community using education and emotional support, we believe we;
- understand the cause of learning poverty and design a system to tap the alternative education system
THE IMPACT
With proper and guided intervention, we;
- Help 180 students to be free from the poverty cycle
- Instill the joy to learn and improve life
- They are ready to live the world to the fullest potential
