FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER, STRIVE TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY

The Story

Hello there!

Many of us know how important food is in anyone's life as a part of our daily survival and growing process. However, not everyone has the priviledge in sustaining food. The lockdowns during the Covid-19 pandemics had causes global supply chain disruptions which causes food inflation in many parts of the world including Malaysia. The pandemic has left many individuals and families with worsen livelihoods and uncertainty. It is even worse in Sabah.

Deep in poverty, the district of Kota Belud alone houses over 74 remote and rural villages, with most communities are not connected to any basic utilities. Rural farmers, mothers and children are facing overwhelming, worsening issues, especially Food Insecurity. Due to the geographic of the area, rural villagers are unable to buy daily groceries and necessities which make them depend heavily on their own crops farming. 

However, together we can fight against hunger and achieve food security for them. 

This fund from this campaign will be give to the HOPE Malaysia Association to help the families in need by:-

1) Set-up farms with the tools and long-lasting materials given.

2) Utilising the rural community’s gravity water system, families are able to Fertilise The Land (using hugelkultur method) and start Growing Diverse Crops (seedlings). 

3) Introduction Of Chicken And Fish Farming as reliable protein sources to families who excel in farming. Materials are given to set-up chicken coops / fish tanks.
