THE PROBLEM

✨ABOUT FOR YOU, FOR ME, FOR US (FYFMFU) ✨ 

FYFMFU is an initiative founded by AIESEC in Johor Bahru that aims to raise awareness on sustainable development goals (SDG) 8, 12 and 13 to the public and at the same time contribute back to the community.

SDG 8 (Decent growth and economic growth)
- We realise the unemployment rate in Malaysia has surged to 4.8% in June 2021 with 7'687'000 people is unemployed. Hence, our campaign is dedicated to helping out underprivileged students be equipped with digital devices and resources to ease out their education journey and prepare them for the job market.

 

SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production)
- Our initiative is targeted to solve food waste issues where we find out households are the main contributor to food wastage in Malaysia. Food waste issues become worsen especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, as people are over buying the food which directly disrupts the food prices in the market. As a result, the vulnerable communities experienced starvation without food assistance.

 

SDG 13 (climate action) 
- Climate change is a global issue that most people are conscious of but they are unsure of the clear actions that they could take to help solve this issue. Hence, we are trying to reduce the effects of climate change by conserving biodiversity and the environment. 

THE SOLUTION

✨OUR SOLUTION✨ 

FYFMFU combines all the arising problems and comes out with an initiative that aims to bring positive impact and benefits to society. We are targeting to help out three target beneficiaries which are the B40 students, food bank and animals shelter. We will be collaborating with Connect.ED to help the B40 students to achieve quality online education; 448 food banks to provide foods to the poor needy families and H.O.P.E to reduce suffering in the world and advocate humane behaviour through education and provision of rescue, rehabilitation, and shelter to abandoned and abused animals.
